Charlie has been a member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society for more than 15 years, and primarily competes in tournament events organized by BASS, which is owned by ESPN, the worldwide leader in television sports programming. Charlie has lived in Central Florida since he was a kid and has been bass fishing for as long as he can remember. According to today‘s standards he got a late start by not fishing his first tournament until age 32. But he finished 5th, thrived on the competitive nature of the sport and made it his goal to compete on a professional level. To get him there, Charlie made some life altering decisions -- he stopped working for someone else and started his own company, which enabled him to set aside the time he needed for his fishing career. He dedicated himself to working hard and fishing hard, and in July 2000, just his second year on the pro circuit, Charlie realized his lifelong dream by qualifying and competing in the prestigious BASSMaster Classic. Charlie has continued his professional fishing career, savoring the triumphs and learning from the challenges. With his brother as his business partner, his company has thrived and Charlie is able to dedicate even more time to the pursuit of yet another dream -- the dream of fishing in the Classic again. Charlie is an articulate, well-educated and congenial individual with impeccable credentials. He is a non-smoking, non-drinking, accomplished outdoorsman and dedicated family man, and his wife travels with him on the tournament trail. As a professional angler, he shares ideals established to instill a love for fishing, promote conservation of fishery resources, guard the environment, and promote bass fishing as a prominent and influential competitive sport in America.
